Maddi has been one of Fit for Living’s star members. She’s so committed to working out hard, sticking to eating the right foods and to having a positive mindset. Maddi was equal winner of one of our 66-day challenges and Fit for Living’s ‘Member of the Year’. She’s reached her goal weight and lost nearly 20 kilos in the process over 6 months! At 16 years of age Daniel developed Crohn’s disease and really struggled to exercise as a result. Daniel participated in a local transformation challenge, guided by Tim as his trainer, and competed against over 400 people to see who could achieve the best body and lifestyle transformation. In that time, Daniel lost an amazing 24 kilos in 12 weeks and through the nutrition and exercise advice he received, he managed to sustain his training regime for the first time since developing a chronic illness. His transformation also helped keep his symptoms at bay. To top it all off, he came 2nd overall in the challenge!Daniel
Steve tackled one of Fit for Living’s short intense challenges to help shed body fat and increase his lean muscle.
The result? He managed to lose 8 kilos and increased his strength in all areas by lifting weights, which he’d never done on his own before. Not only that, but Steve went cold turkey on alcohol and realised how foggy his brain had been when drinking. Now he has a lot more energy and 4 months later he’s enjoying his ongoing training at Fit for Living and his NEW, energetic lifestyle.Steve
Before he joined Fit for Living, Tye was heading towards playing Rugby for Australia. However, he went into party mode and developed some habits which took him off track, and he got dropped from the team. After losing fitness and his motivation and putting on weight, he decided to take on a 12 month Personal Training program with Fit for Living. Six years ago I started to put on a lot of weight. I tried everything and spent thousands of dollars trying to get my body back but nothing worked until I met Tim and Vernon at Fit for Living!! Through training with Vernon I have gone from being unmotivated to do any kind of exercise to literally running around Geelong and loving it. Before joining Fit for Living I had a hand and forearm injury for 8 years that took a big toll on me physically and mentally. I could not participate in sports or activities, I lost my confidence and motivation, and have been in and out of work because of it. Then my best friend brought me a Fit for Living program and gave me the motivation and encouragement I was lacking for 8 years. Now I play sport 3 times a week and do PT sessions 2-3 days a week, because of her and the Fit for Living crew.
I have trained with Nathan, Tim and Genna and between all 3 of them I have achieved more than what I thought I was capable of, which is exactly what I wanted out of joining Fit for Living. I have dropped massive cm’s over my total body (ie. hips 96cm – 83cm) and gained muscle and fitness that allow me to do everything I’m doing right now. I started at 64.8 kg and I weigh in now at 57kg. To anyone who is sitting on the fence and considering joining, I say just do it, no excuses. Fit for living has been the perfect support I needed to helping me achieve my health and fitness goals. A busy lifestyle of working Mum provided many excuses to not put health and fitness high on my priority list. It is easy to put the needs of the children, my work, my husband and family and friends before myself. Finally I have a holistic approach to nutrition and exercise and can fit healthy eating and exercise into my busy lifestyle. Sam, my Personal Trainer, has provided excellent support, education and encouragement. The flexible training hours and locations were perfect for my needs. Tim’s nutrition education enabled me to have an educated approach to eating rather than dieting. Tim and his capable, highly motivated instructors, Ryan and Sam have made a welcome difference in my training program. I’m a Myotherapist with a very busy practice, with people working for me and loaded with teaching responsibilities, I need to be fit, injury free and able to handle my daily stress loads. Even though I am a trained PT I still need the motivation and encouragement from others who really enjoy what they do and are dedicated to delivering a quality service. Fit For Living trainers tick all the boxes for me. The training sessions are fun (I won’t do them if they’re not), welcoming, challenging and directed for each person to achieve their goals.
